ISSF 'COMPACT' series circuit breakers are electrical devices used to interrupt or connect the flow of current in an electrical circuit. They are designed to provide high reliability and protection in a compact size. They overcome the limitations of electromechanical switches in many difficult and demanding applications, such as the control of high-power motors, transformers, tungsten lamps, heating elements, and electric ovens.
The ISSF switches of the "COMPACT" series have an extremely long life, as they have no contacts that can wear out, are extremely quiet and generate completely negligible radio frequency interference. This makes them ideal for applications where acoustic or electrical noise is a problem.
The complete absence of moving parts also allows operation without alteration and/or damage in very dirty atmospheres. The ISSF switches of the "COMPACT" series of this family are manufactured in 4 current versions (25-35-50-70A) and are suitable for 230V or 400V mains, complete with protection fuse and varistor if required.
The three-phase execution is obtained by using 2 or 3 single-phase static switches as required. All components, rationally and robustly assembled for heavy-duty applications, are mounted on a suitable heat sink (insulated), equipped with a support for DIN profile mounting for sizes up to 50A, and on a support plate for wall mounting for the 70A size.
